Dr Faisal Bakaeen is Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio and the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Distinguished Chair in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He also serves as the Surgical Director of the Coronary Revascularization Center. Prior to that, he was the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr Milan Milojevic is an Associate Research Professor at the Dedinje Cardiovascular Institute in Belgrade, Serbia. He served as the Committee for Clinical Practice Guidelines Chairperson at EACTS from 2020-2023 and is currently the Medical Director for Clinical Practice Guidelines at EACTS. He obtained a degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences during his training. In 2018, he was honoured with the EACTS Francis Fontan Scholarship, enabling him to undertake a fellowship in quality improvement at MSTCVS-QC in Ann Arbor. He defended his doctoral thesis on decision-making in cardiac treatments at Erasmus University in 2019. With a genuine passion for evidence-based guidelines in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Milojevic melds clinical expertise with research to deliver enhanced patient care recommendations.
