Edris Mahtab started studying medicine at Leiden University in 2002. In 2008, he obtained his PhD degree and in 2010 graduated cum laude as MD. After completion of residency program in 2016 he started to work as a cardiothoracic surgeon at Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam. From 2024 Edris continued his career as a cardiothoracic surgeon at Leiden University Medical Center.

Andreas Zuckermann, MD, is Director of Cardiac Transplantation at the Department of Cardiac Surgery/Medical University of Vienna in Austria. He is past President of In ISHLT and Austrian Transplant Society. He is a world-recognized leader in cardiac transplantation Dr. Zuckermann has been an invited speaker in over 300 international meetings and has been involved in teaching and training of experts from many global transplant centers.
