Peter Murin graduated in 2006 as a medical doctor at Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2015, he was board-certified in heart surgery and obtained his certificate for congenital heart surgery in 2018. After finishing his residency in cardiac and congenital cardiac surgery in Oldenburg and Sankt Augustin, Germany, he was recruited by German Heart Center Berlin. Currently, he is senior consultant at the department for congenital heart surgery and head of the minimally-invasive program. His areas of interest are aortic valve repair, Ross procedure, repair of Ebstein´s anomaly, and minimally-invasive techniques for the repair of congenital heart defects. Since 2014, he serves as writing member of the Guideline-Committee of German Society for Paediatric Cardiology, and in 2018, Peter became member of the EACTS Congenital Domain.
