Born in 1975 in Krakow, Poland, Krzysztof graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in the Medical College of the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, in 2000. Krzysztof has been a Board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon since 2009, and is certified in few interventional cardiology procedures . In 2010, Krzysztof obtained PhD degree in medical sciences and has been Associate Professor since 2012. Krzysztof obtained Tenure Professor of medicine title at the age of 43. Krzysztof’s scientific interests are associated with his primary specialization – cardiac surgery, but he is very interested in interventional cardiology and electrocardiology, as well as experimental cardiac surgery. Krzysztof participated as primary investigator or co investigator in 28 first in human studies with many different devices ( Reslia, Harpoon, Lariat, Intrepid, Simplicity, nContact Convergent, Leaflex) , and more than 100 different clinical trials in past 21 years.
