Stuart Grant is a Specialist Trainee in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Honorary Lecturer in Cardiovascular Surgery based in Manchester, UK. His PhD was on the development and validation of risk prediction models in cardiovascular surgery. He has worked extensively with the UK National Cardiac Surgery database. His research areas of interest include risk prediction models, clinical decision-making tools, clinical outcome analyses, propensity matched analyses and utilising clinical registries. He is a member of the EACTS Research Methodology Task Force and regularly reviews manuscripts focusing on statistical methodology for the EJCTS.
