Stefano Mastrobuoni
Stefano Mastrobuoni graduated from the medical school of the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome in 2002. He did his surgical training between Italy and Spain; then spent 3 years at the Ottawa Heart Institute as a senior clinical fellow. After a Master in Public Health at Harvard University Stefano joined the team at Saint-Luc’ s Hospital – Catholic University of Louvain in 2013. He is currently in charge of the Transplant and LVAD programme. His main fields of interest are heart transplantation, coronary surgery and valve repair. His research focuses on allograft preservation during transplantation and the long-term results of valve repair surgery.
