Simon Jordan was appointed consultant thoracic surgeon at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Trust, Department of Thoracic Surgery, in 2006 and is chair of the cancer team at Royal Brompton Hospital. His areas of expertise include adult and paediatric thoracic surgery, Surgery for primary lung cancer, including minimally invasive video assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) lobectomy and VATS anatomical segmentectomy, tracheo-bronchial surgery and primary and metastatic chest sarcoma. He is currently co-investigator into a trial of bronchoscopic lung volume reduction. Working with colleagues, he is trialing the thoracoscopic resection of the left stellate ganglion in children and adults with long QT syndrome (LQTS) and catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT).
