Silke Schelenz obtained her MD in 1993 from the Free University of Berlin, Germany. Studied her PhD and Msc at the University of London. She is now the consultant microbiologist at the Imperial College. Silke is the chair of UK Clinich Mycology Network/PHE, assistant editor of Journal of Hospital Infection, a specialty advisory committee, RCPath representing BSMM and a council member for the British Society for Medical Mycology.
