Sanem Nalbantgil
Sanem Nalbantgil, M.D. is a Professor of Cardiology at Department of Cardiology of Ege University Medical School in Izmir.
She was born in 1969, in İzmir. She graduated from American Colligiate Institude in 1987. She received her medical degree from Ege University Medical School in Izmir at 1993. She completed her residency in Cardiology Department of Ege University Medical School in Izmir at 1997. She has been working in the Ege University Medical School since that time. She became Associate Professor of Cardiology in 2000, and Professor of Cardiology in 2006. Her interests cover heart failure patients. Her expertise includes ventricular assist devices, heart transplantation and pulmonary hypertension.
Sanem Nalbantgil is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and Heart Failure Association (HFA) and a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. She has been participating in the activities of HFA – advanced heart failure working group; she was member of this working group between 2016 to 2024. She is a co-author of three HFA position papers on advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support.
