Roberta Iacobelli

Dr. Roberta Iacobelli is a certified cardiologist at Bambino Gesu’ Children’s Hospital in Rome, Italy. Her expertise includes: Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography, 3D Echo, Fetal Echocardiography (PhD in Prenatal Medicine), Echocardiography in Ventricular Assist Device/ECMO patients, Echocardiographic monitoring in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.

Her career highlights include: working as Staff Cardiologist at Echo Lab in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at Bambino Gesu’ Hospital Rome from 2004 to 2016; serving as Senior Consultant Cardiologist in PCICU ad Operating Room from 2016 to June 2024; currently serving as the Chief of Semi-Intensive Cardiology since July 2024.

Dr Iacobelli is also responsible for the diagnostic and therapeutic path of pediatric patients with congenital heart disease in the Division of Cardiology.

She has been involved in numerous Clinical Trials as Sub-investigator, is ICH-GCP trained and has authored or co-authored over 40 original and peer-reviewed publications.

Additionally, she has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences, sharing her expertise in congenital heart disease and mechanical circulatory support in the pediatric population. Her international involvements includes being an invited expert at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital Activities in China in 2018 and 2019.
