Robert Klautz is a specialist in reconstructive mitral, tricuspid and aortic valve surgery and advanced heart failure treatment with over 100 publications to his name. His Centre has helped develop the current thinking in functional mitral regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation, and is a national referral centre for all forms of mitral valve therapies. He heads the largest academic practice in his country and has an extensive experience in teaching mitral valve repair in Europe. He is a member of the Acquired Cardiac Disease Domain of EACTS.
