Rafik Margaryan
Rafik Margaryan graduated in 2003 as a medical doctor at the Yerevan State University, Yerevan, Armenia. In 2005 finished congenital cardiac surgery residency at Bakulev Center, Moscow, Russia. In 2008 he obtained his masters degree in International Master In Cardiac Surgery, International Heart School, Bergamo, Italy. Recognized Italian medical doctor degree in 2010 at the Università di Pisa, Pisa, Italy. Finished adult cardiac surgery residency in 2017 at Università di Siena, Siena, Italy. After finishing his residency in cardiac surgery, Rafik started working at the Ospedale Del Cuore, Massa, Italy, focusing his main interests on minimally invasive cardiac procedures, mainly endoscopic approaches. In 2019 finished a master degree in minimally invasive cardiac surgery at Universita Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy. Currently, he works at the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Ospedale Del Cuore, Massa, Italy and focuses on implementation of innovative technologies to cardiac surgery (AI, Robotic Surgery) . His areas of interest are minimally invasive coronary and heart valve surgery, complex aortic arch surgery, aortic reconstructive surgery, mitral valve reconstructive surgery, robotic coronary artery bypass grafting, and applied AI to clinical practice.
