Piotr Szymanski

Piotr Szymanski, MD, FESC, received his medical degree from Warsaw Medical University and took his cardiology residency at the Center of Postgraduate Medical Education in Warsaw. He is Consultant Cardiologist and Head of the Clinical Cardiology Department at National Institute of Medicine MSWiA Hospital in Warsaw. His research and clinical interests focus on structural heart disease and cardio-obstetrics.

He is a Board Member and a Chairperson of the Regulatory Affairs Committee of the European Society of Cardiology. He also chairs the Regulatory Committee of the Polish Cardiac Society. He served as Deputy Chair of the Advisory Board of the Polish Health Technology Assessment Agency. He is a past president of the Association of Echocardiography of the Polish Cardiac Society.  Piotr Szymanski represents European Society of Cardiology at the Healthcare Professionals’ Working Party (HCPWP) of the European Medicines  Agency.
