Pier Luigi Filosso, M.D. is Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery at the Medical Faculty of the University of Torino (Italy). He is also the Chair of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) Lung Neuroendocrine Tumors Working Group; he also was the Secretary of the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG). Pier Luigi is an active member of the Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SICT); the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS); the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC); the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG). His fields of interest are thoracic oncology, lung and thymic NETs, surgical treatment of lung, mediastinal and pleural neoplasms, emphysema and management of thoracic trauma. He published 190 papers in international peer-reviewed journals on thoracic oncology issues.
