Niv Ad

Niv Ad, MD is a cardiac surgeon at the Adventist Health system in Maryland and a professor of Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Ad is the past president of The International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (ISMICS) the Editor-in-Chief of Innovations.

Dr. Ad led multiple guidelines committees for the AATS, STS and ISMICS on Surgical ablation for atrial fibrillation and blood management. Dr. Ad is currently the national PI on several studies and led multiple projects associated with the STS guidelines. He is currently the chairman of the State of Maryland Cardiac Surgery Quality Initiative (MCSQI) and the chair of the research and writing committee of that organisation. Dr. Ad has published over 200 peer reviewed articles, authored multiple book chapters and hold multiple Patents.
