Martin Schweiger

Prof. Martin Schweiger, MBA,, FEBS, FABS, is a congenital heart surgeon at the University of Zurich. Children`s Hospital Zurich.

After finishing his residency in cardiac surgery at the Medical University of Graz, Martin completed his training focused on congenital heart surgery and mechanical circulatory support at the German Heart. Currently, he is leads the paediatric MCS program at the University Children`s Hospital Zurich. His research focus on clinical trials in paediatric and congenital heart disease mechanical circulatory support systems as well as transplantation. Further he is very active in the areas of regenerative medicine and aortic valve surgery.
