Maria von Stumm
Dr. Maria von Stumm is a board-certified congenital heart surgeon at the Division of Congenital and Pediatric Heart Surgery at the German Heart Center Munich, Germany. In 2021, she completed her training as an adult heart surgeon at the University Heart Center Hamburg, where she also obtained her doctoral degree.
Her research interests are congenital and acquired valvular diseases. Currently, Dr. von Stumm is leading a research group of seven doctoral students focusing on the long-term outcomes following the repair of Tetralogy of Fallot and its morphological variants.
Recently, she started as a member of the EACTS Women in Cardiothoracic Surgery Committee.
