María Plaza

María Plaza graduated in 2014 as a medical doctor at the University of Salamanca. In 2015 she obtained 27th position in the national exam. She graduated as a general cardiologist in 2020 at Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid. After finishing her residency she completed a two-year fellowship in Acute Cardiac Care and mechanical circulatory
support in Clinical Hospital of Valladolid. She obtained ESC accreditation in Acute Cardiovascular Care in 2022. Currently, she is working at CICU in Clinical Hospital of Valladolid since 2022. She is part of Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation Unit since 2021. Her areas of interest are cardiogenic shock and mechanical circulatory support.
