Klaus Hoffmann graduated in 1998 as a medical doctor at the medical faculty of University of Saarland and has been working at Saarland University Medical Centre in Homburg/Saar ever since. First as training assistant in cardiac surgery (department of Prof. Schäfers), afterwards as training assistant in the Department of Anaesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine (Prof. Larsen, Prof. Volk). In 2011 he graduated as an anesthesiologist, becoming senior consultant in 2017. In 2022 he obtained the DGAI certification for “transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine”. Currently he is working as senior consultant in cardiac anesthesiology.
