Joerg Seeburger graduated from medical school at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany in 2005. He started his cardiac surgical residency at the Heart Center Leipzig under the direct mentorship of Professor Fred Mohr. After completion of his training he has held a consultant position in cardiac surgery at the Heart Center Leipzig. His clinical and research interest is minimally invasive mitral valve repair surgery including transcatheter techniques. He was appointed a full university professorship at the University Leipzig in 2013. In addition he holds an MBA degree from the Technical University in Dresden, Germany.
