Filippos Rorris
Dr Filippos Rorris graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University, Brno in the Czech Republic in 2016. Dr Rorris then served in the army as a medical doctor in Chios Island, after which he became a resident in General Surgery at the Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens, where he did 6 months of training in endovascular and catheter-based therapies of structural heart. Dr Rorris worked in the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Department of the same hospital for 3 years until he then moved to the Paediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery Department of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center in Greece, where he has been working since 2023.
Dr Rorris completed the Travelling Fellowship in Houston and was a finalist in the CT Surgery Masters Showdown at the EACTS Annual Meeting in 2022 (Milan, Italy). Dr Rorris has participated in the Challenge Registry (adult congenital heart disease registry) as principal investigator since 2021, and has contributed to 20 peer-reviewed journals indexed in Pubmed.
