Attilio Lotto
Attilio Lotto MD, MCh, FRCS-CTh graduated as MD from the University of Milan in Italy and finished the General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Training in UK, becoming Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). On completion of the adult cardiothoracic training, he decided to pursue a career in Congenital Cardiac Surgery spending one year at both Birmingham Children’s and Great Ormond Street Hospital and a further year in Paris. In early 2010 he was appointed consultant in Congenital Cardiac Surgery, first in Leicester and since 2015 in Liverpool at Alder Hey Children’s.
His surgical practice comprises treatment for the whole spectrum of Congenital Cardiac Disease, from neonates to ACHD.
Attilio has a Master Chirurgical (MCh) from the University of Bristol and holds a Professorship at Liverpool John Moores University. He is also the Congenital Educational Lead within the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery of Great Britain and Ireland.
