Angela Wittelsberger

Angela Wittelsberger is Head of Sector in the life sciences unit at the scientific department of the European Research Council Executive Agency. In that role, she oversees the evaluation of the proposals submitted to the various call schemes, such as Starting, Consolidator and Advanced grants. Angela came to the ERC from the Innovative Medicines Initiative, where she managed public-private partnerships. Prior to that, she worked as project manager at the Belgian biotech company Ablynx. Angela holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Lausanne, and spent many years conducting research at Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, USA.
