Agathe Seguin-Givelet
Agathe SEGUIN-GIVELET qualified from the French University of Paris and was awarded a DPhD for her research into tracheal replacement, thanks to a fellowship centre for cardiovascular repair in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr A Seguin-Givelet worked for over 10 years as a thoracic and vascular surgeon at Avicenne Hospital, Public Health institution, near Paris and then decided to focus on thoracic surgery and mainly lung tumors. She moved to Insitute Mutualist Montsouris surgical unit in 2015 in Paris and was chosen as the head of the department from 2020 to 2024.
Deeply involved in MIS with VATS and RATS programs, she has a major experience in segmentectomies thanks to the department, which has the largest European experience in this field. She leads the IMM thoracic team to organize successful international sublobar conferences (2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, next 2025). Her interest includes the relationship of service development to outcomes, image-guidance for thoracic surgery and guided bronchoscopy for therapy. She went on to do the first in Europe (except UK) endobronchial microwave ablation of lung tumor in December 2022.
Dr A Seguin-Givelet started an new position in August 2024 at a private hospital, Ambroise Pare-Hartmann, as a thoracic surgeon.
