Ulrich Jorde
Ulrich Jorde graduated from the Freie Universitaet Hamburg Medical School, Germany in 1991 and completed clinical training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He joined the heart failure and transplant faculty at Columbia University in 1999 and from 2003-2007, he directed the heart failure programme at New York University. Ulrich returned to Columbia University in 2007 as Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Programs and become Professor of Medicine. In 2014, he was appointed Vice Chief of Cardiology at the Montefiore/Einstein Heart and Vascular Center. He is past chair of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Council of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
