Developing Clinical Practice Documents
Where possible, we always strive to take a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to the development of comprehensive clinical practice guidelines and scientific documents, covering the breadth of cardiothoracic surgery and related disciplines.
Task forces
Task forces appointed to guideline development receive strategic insights and support from our Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee and EACTS Council.
Each member brings their expertise, clinical skills, and scientific knowledge to critically appraise the available evidence, ensuring a thorough coverage of all aspects of perioperative patient care.
We work closely with several different associations and organisations to jointly develop guidelines for clinicians and patients to refer to. We recognise the importance and value of collaborative working that brings specific expertise, knowledge, diversity, and uniformed approaches to patient care.
