For over 35 years EACTS has supported the cardiothoracic community, driven by our mission to achieve better patient outcomes

We provide surgical communities around the world with unrivalled opportunities to develop skills and knowledge and gain valuable hands-on experience to support the delivery of high-quality care. Through our Domains and Committees, we address the most prevalent and important topics in cardiothoracic surgery to meet the training needs of our members. 

The EACTS Annual Meeting, widely recognised as the leading event for the cardiothoracic community, has become an important platform to showcase innovation and world-class science as well as a forum for rigorous debate and analysis alongside global experts in their field. 

We have taken a leading role in helping to deliver positive cultural change and encourage greater inclusivity across the cardiothoracic community, introducing new initiatives to empower more women in cardiothoracic surgery and support the next generation. 

Through our Quality Improvement Programme and publications, EACTS has an active and influential role to inform clinical practice and support research excellence that support our mission to improve patient outcomes.
