Alexander Wahba is a consultant cardio-thoracic surgeon and Professor of Thoracic Surgery at the St. Olavs University Hospital in Trondheim, Norway. He is a member of the Editorial Board of ICVTS. Alexander received his training at the University of Regensburg in Germany and qualified as a cardio-thoracic surgeon in 1997. Alexander is chairman of the European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusionists. His research interests are the effects of ECC on haemostasis and the myocardium. He has also an interest in VATS and perfusion education.
