Rashmi Yadav is an adult cardiac surgeon with special interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, mitral valve surgery and transcatheter therapies. Her clinical interests also include total arterial sequential grafting using bilateral internal mammary artery and endoscopic conduit harvesting. Rashmi is part of the minimally invasive atrial fibrillation ablation programme and currently involved in a research project comparing endoscopic surgical with catheter-based ablation for atrial fibrillation. She works closely with surgical colleagues to deliver a successful endoscopic atraumatic coronary artery bypass programme, which is one of its kind in the UK. Rashmi also has a keen interest in leadership, human motivation and emotional intelligence at work and its impact on teamwork, work culture, and patient experience and safety. She is also involved in mentorship programmes for school students with an interest in a career in medicine.
