EACTS Outreach Programme
EACTS’ mission is to advance education in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular interventions. While many members engage in global educational and humanitarian programmes, particularly in Africa, efforts have lacked coordination and sustainability. The Outreach Programme, supported by the EACTS Outreach Committee, is dedicated to advancing education and improving patient outcomes in underserved regions through sustainable and impactful initiatives. It aims to coordinate and support humanitarian and educational programmes, harnessing the expertise of EACTS members and fostering collaborations with industry partners, charities, and other organisations. The programme strives to create meaningful change and promote global equity in cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic surgical care.
Outreach Grants
The EACTS Outreach Committee will award industry or charity-sponsored grants, enabling EACTS to invest in impactful initiatives. By leveraging industry and charity contacts, EACTS aims to shift focus from short-term missions to sustainable programmes that improve long-term patient outcomes in underserved regions, with growing interest from industry to fund such efforts.
