    In-person registration fees include all sessions, breaks, lunch and dinner on Wednesday 02 April.

    Online registration fees include all sessions, except Hands-On sessions on Friday.  Kindly note there is no interactive function and you will not be able to interact with Faculty and other attendees.

Course Overview

Fundamentals in Valvular Heart Disease inc. Atrial Fibrillation is a comprehensive Level 1 course for Residents approaching the EBCTS exam covering all aspects of valvular heart disease and surgical management of atrial fibrillation.

The lectures cover the fundamentals of pre-operative investigations, natural history and operative techniques necessary for the decision-making and treatment of patients. The interactive sessions involve multidisciplinary discussion of cases to apply the theoretical knowledge in real world situations.

Wetlab sessions allow delegates to perform valve replacement, repair and Cox Maze 4 lesion sets

Learning Objectives 

Knowledge of the fundamentals of valvular heart disease (Aortic, Mital and Tricuspid) and atrial fibrillation including pre-operative investigations, intra-operative management and post-operative management. Delivered through lectures, interactive discussions and hands on sessions.
