Sasha is research lead for robotic-assisted thoracic surgery in the UK with several research projects contributing to the world literature in this field. He has been chair of the regional training committee in the North East, being in charge of cardiothoracic surgery training, and has a passion for training and teaching which he has continued at Barts by recruiting, supporting and training the best doctors, and runs an active international fellowship program.
