Dr. Claudia Cattapan is a resident in cardiac surgery at the University of Padua in Italy. Her primary focus lies on the treatment of congenital heart diseases and education in cardiac surgery. She is involved in several clinical and experimental research studies related to the field of congenital heart disease. Furthermore, she dedicates her time to creating an educational training program for young surgeons, utilizing 3D-printed heart models for surgical simulations. She strongly believes in the value of the EACTS Resident Committee as an effective tool for providing to young cardiothoracic surgeons the unique opportunity to enhance their education and training.
