Oleksandr Babliak

Oleksandr Babliak graduated in 1994 as a medical doctor at the Lviv Medical University, Ukraine, and graduated as a general surgeon in 1997. After finishing his residency in cardiac surgery, Oleksandr completed additional training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia in 1999-2001.

He completed a PhD on Superior-Septal Approach to the Mitral Valve (2005) and Doctor Thesis on Surgical Treatment of PA, VSD, MAPCAs (2016). Currently, he is the Head of the Cardiac Surgery Division at the Dobrobut Medical Network, Kyiv, Ukraine, and the Founder of MICS Babliak Academy, Kyiv, Ukraine. His areas of interest are minimally invasive coronary and heart valve surgery, minimally invasive paediatric cardiac surgery.
