Matteo Trezzi graduated in 2005 as a medical doctor at the University of Milan, Italy. In 2010 he completed his residency in Cardiac Surgery at the University of Milan. After that, Matteo refined his training in the USA, focusing on mitral valve repair, aortic surgery, mechanical circulatory support, and heart/lung transplantation at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Cleveland, OH). Subsequently, he joined the division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston, SC). Currently, he is working as an attending congenital surgeon at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital of Rome, Italy.
His areas of expertise are minimally invasive surgery, neonatal surgery, and mechanical circulatory support assistance.
