Tom Barker
Tom Barker graduated in 1999 from the University of Manchester with an MBChB. In 2005, funded by a Fulbright Scholarship, he obtained a Medical Doctorate after a period of research at Rochester University, New York. He completed a Walport clinical lecturer position at the University of Birmingham in 2010 and obtained the FRCS CTh in 2012. Prior to starting as an NHS Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire in 2015, he completed an Ethicon funded valve repair fellowship at St Luc University Hospital, Brussels. Current sub-specialty interests are mitral valve repair and arrhythmia surgery.
