Renate Oberhoffer-Fritz
Renate Oberhoffer-Fritz graduated in 1982 as a medical doctor at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. In 1987 she obtained her licence in pediatrics, and in 1989 in pediatric cardiology. She was a German research foundation fellow at National Lung and Heart Institute and at the Royal Brompton Hospital London, as well as at Ulm University Germany, where she specialized in neonatal and fetal cardiology. In 1996, she became Associate Professor for Pediatric Cardiology at the University Hospital at Technical University, where she implemented fetal cardiology and was co-founder of the Mother Child Center. Since 2007, she is Head of Fetal Cardiology at the German Heart Center Munich and Full Professor for Preventive Pediatrics at the Technical University Munich. Her areas of interest are fetal cardiology, the early prevention of cardiovascular risk factors, and sports cardiology in childhood and adolescence.
