Beatrice Bonello
Beatrice Bonello graduated from Aix Marseille University Medical School in 2001.
She trained in Adult Cardiology and then, in Paediatric Cardiology at Marseille, la Timone University Hospitals.
She sub-specialised in imaging and did a Master Degree in Medical physics, in 2006, Kremlin Bicetre, Paris. She did a research fellowship in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance imaging at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, funded by the French Federation of Cardiology, in 2011-2012.
She worked as a staff Pediatric Cardiologist at Marseille University Hospital and was appointed Consultant in Congenital heart disease in 2011.
In 2015, she moved to Great Ormond Street Hospital where she worked as an echo research fellow. She was appointed Consultant with special interest in Echocardiography in 2019. Since then, she has been leading the echocardiography teaching program at GOSH. Her research areas of interests are myocardial function and remodelling in diseases such as critical aortic valve stenosis, Ebstein anomaly post Cone repair.
She is an active member of the AEPC imaging working group and the EACVI task force in congenital heart disease.
