Prakash Punjabi

Professor Prakash P Punjabi is a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon since 1998 at the Hammersmith Hospital-Imperial College Healthcare NHT Trust in London, UK and Professor of Practice in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Imperial College London. He expertise in mitral valve disease and coronary artery disease. He is a world renowned and internationally recognised surgeon with surgical privileges in several countries offering some of his time for charitable cases. His research interests unfold in the field of cardiac function with a great interest in cardiac surgery related clinical trials, regenerative cardiovascular medicine and cardiac 3D printing. Professor Punjabi has more than 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals with one of the most recent being at the prestigious NEJM about the LAAOS III international clinical study. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of PERFUSION.
