Johann Altenberger graduated as a medical doctor at the university of Innsbruck/Austria. He was trained in general medicine followed by internal medicine and cardiology. He specialised in heart failure and interventional cardiology at the Paracelus Medical Private University in Salzburg. Currently he ist Head of the Rehabilitation Center Grossgmain, a center für cardiac and neurologic rehabilitation of inpatients. His areas of interests are management of patients suffering chronic and especially advanced heart failure. He is experienced in rehabiliation of heart failure patients including those with VAD`s und after transplantation.
