Apostolos Nakas

Apostolos Nakas graduated in 1992 as a medical doctor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After finishing his training in Cardiothoracic surgery he was appointed as a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Glenfield Hospital in 2007.

Currently he is the Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Glenfield Hospital and the Clinical Lead for Mesothelioma for East Midlands in the UK.

His areas of interest are Thoracic Surgical Oncology with special focus on Mesothelioma and Lung Cancer Surgery, Complex Chest wall resections and reconstructions, Complex Thoracic Oncological Surgery, Thymoma surgery, Pulmonary metastasectomy and palliative airway interventions.
