Igor Rudez

Assistant Professor Igor Rudez, MD, PhD graduated from Medical School University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1991. He received his MSc Degree in 1998 (Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb), and PhD in 2007 (Medical School, University of Osijek, Croatia). In 2001/2002 visiting surgeon at UniKlinik Hamburg Eppendorf, Germany (mentor Prof. H. Reichenspurner).

Special fields of interest are aortic surgery (valve, root, arch), minimally invasive coronary surgery, and heart transplant surgery. Currently, he is Head of the Department of Cardiac and Transplant Surgery, University Hospital Dubrava, Zagreb, Croatia, and Director of Heart Transplant Program.
