Simona Marcora is a consultant pediatric cardiology in Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, Italy. She graduated in Medicine at the University of Milano in 2000 and served a residency in Adult Cardiology at University of Verona in 2004. Subsequently she worked for one year as expatriate doctor in a project supported by the European Community in North Uganda and nowadays she usually cooperates as pediatric cardiology in different African and Asian countries. She completed three years fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology at Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome, under the direction of prof. S.P Sanders. She is involved mainly in cardiac imaging, mostly fetal echocardiography and cardiac MRI. Since 2017, as visiting consultant, she collaborates with prof. E. Valsangiacomo in Kinderspital in Zurich where she is trained cardiac MRI and in 2019 she passed the EACVI exam for European accreditation in MRI for congenital heart disease. Her clinical and research interests include follow up of single ventricle patients, advance cardiac imaging and study of right ventricle function.
