Dr Andy Curry is a Consultant in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care and Cardiac Anaesthesia, with interests in congenital heart disease in children and adults, and in advanced cardiovascular support utilising extracorporeal circuits (ECMO). He trained at Cambridge University, qualifying in 1998, and has a Masters in Pharmacology. Andy has been a Consultant at University Hospital Southampton since 2008, where he is the Lead for Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia, and oversees the cardiothoracic anaesthesia training programme for Wessex. He took a sabbatical in 2009 working at Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan specialising in the care of children with single-ventricle circulations. He is married with 4 children and lives in the New Forest and is a keen photographer and motorcyclist.
