Naim Slim is a first year Core Surgical Trainee (resident) in the London Deanery. He is presently working at the Royal Brompton Hospital in the department of Cardio-thoracic Surgery, with previous training in General Surgery at Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals. He qualified from St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London in 2014, and undertook an elective clerkship in Trauma Surgery at John H Stroger Hospital, Cook County, Chicago, before his house jobs in medicine, surgery and emergency medicine in Kent and South London. Naim has an active interest in surgical education, spending a year working as an anatomy demonstrator at the University of Cambridge, lecturing to medical students and undertaking cadaveric research projects which were presented to learned societies. Whilst in training he is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Surgical Innovation at Imperial College London.
