Arnoud van ‘t Hof is an interventional cardiologist and Head of the Department of Interventional Cardiology in Maastricht University Medical Center and Zuyderland Medical Center in Heerlen, the Netherlands. He has a long-standing research history in cardiovascular medicine, particularly in the field of primary angioplasty and acute coronary syndromes, with special interest in pre-hospital diagnosis and triage in the ambulance. He has been (co-) chairing international multi-center clinical trials in this field. He is a board member of the Acute Cardiac Care Association (ACCA) and editorial board member of the European Heart Journal Acute Cardiovascular Care and the Netherlands Heart Journal. Arnoud chaired the board of directors of the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR, now Nederlandse Hart Registratie (NHR) with specific interest for value based healthcare (VBHC) and data science. He recently joined the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC) with research on cardiac rehabilitation, cardiovascular prevention and sports medicine. Arnoud has authored over 300 publications in peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals and is an elected fellow of the ESC.
