Dr. Bernardo Mendes graduated from medical school at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil in 2008. He completed a General Surgery Residency at Irmandade da Santa Casa de Misericordia de Sao Paulo, Brazil. In early 2012, Dr. Mendes joined the Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, as a Research Fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Gustavo Oderich and he is currently completing his Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency. He will join the faculty at the Mayo Clinic in July, 2018, after completing his residency.
