Sean Hall completed his PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology at Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada. He was awarded a Merck Frosst Canada Pharmacology Postdoctoral Fellowship and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, in Boston, MA USA working on animal models of polymicrobial sepsis. Sean was a Senior Scientist at NeoStem Inc. in Cambridge MA, USA. He then moved to the Netherlands to Erasmus Medical Center as a Senior Scientist in the Laboratory of Experimental Transplantation and Intestinal Surgery. He currently leads a group in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at University Hospital of Bern. His main research interests are in the stroma-tumor crosstalk in NSCLC and identification of lung progenitor cells for lung repair and regeneration.
